The Team Product Owner Group consists of all Team Product Owners of a Cluster and the Cluster Product Owner . At the Cluster and system level, it is responsible for the Market and Business side of the product development process.
The Team Product Owner Group has the following tasks:
- Creation of the Cluster Backlog , derived from the Portfolio Backlog , in coordination with the Team System Engineer Group (TSEG)
- Requirements management : Receiving inquiries / requirements for systems, applications & features, as well as working with the stakeholders on the requirements
- Ensuring the DoR so that the Team System Engineer Group can analyze and estimate it
- Coordination & refinement of systems, applications & features and distribution to the Team Backlogs .
- Assessment of systems, applications & features with regard to business benefits, for example by using planning poker and relative “value points”.
- Prioritize systems, applications & features within the Cluster Backlog , e.g. by using an upswing gravity field . The Cluster Backlog is freely available and accessible to all stakeholders
- Release management (planning, acceptance and release)
- Release planning: Planning the systems, applications & features in sensible system and variant versions. Release planning is publicly available and viewable for all stakeholders
- Optional: feedback of the priority and, if necessary, scheduling to the stakeholders
- Optional, especially if the organization is not continuously agile: Information & Reporting : display of progress and enable the overarching plans to be updated
- Definition and maintenance of own processes and templates (self-organization of the Team Product Owner Group)
