Portfolio Owner (PFO)

The Portfolio Owner is the “Product Owner” the Organization and has, together with the Cluster Product Owner Group (CPOG) on the Portfolio- or  Organizational level, overall responsibility for the Market and Business side of the product development process. Together with the Portfolio Architect and the Organisation Scrum Master, the Portfolio Owner forms the management circle of the organisation.

The Portfolio Owner, together with the Cluster-Product-Owner Group, has the following tasks:

• Managing the Portfolio Backlog, in coordination with the Cluster-System-Engineer-Gruppe (CSEG)
• Requirements Management: Receiving requests/requests about systems, applications & features, as well as working with the Stakeholders on the requirements
  • Securing the DoR so that the Cluster-System-Engineer-Gruppe (CSEG) can evaluate and estimate them
  • voting & Breakdown (Portfolio Backlog definition) of systems, applications & Features and distribution to the Team Backlogs.
  • evaluating systems, applications & features regarding the business benefit
• Prioritizing systems, applications & features within the Cluster Backlog. The Portfolio Backlog is publicly available and viewable for all stakeholders
• Release-Management (Planung, Abnahme und Freigabe)
  • Release-Planung: Einplanen der Systeme, Applikationen & Features in sinnvolle System-Versionen, Varianten. Die Release-Planung ist für alle Stakeholder öffentlich verfügbar und einsehbar
  • Optional: Rückmeldung der Priorität und ggf. Terminplanung an die Stakeholder
• Optional, insbesondere, wenn die Organisation nicht durchgehend agil arbeitet: Information & Reporting: Darstellung des Fortschritts und ermöglichen der Aktualisierung der übergeordneten Pläne
• Definition & Pflege der eigenen Prozesse und Templates (Selbstorganisation)
