Cluster System Engineer (CSE)

With the Team System Engineer Group at the Cluster / system level,  the cluster System Engineer is responsible for the technology and architecture  within the product creation process.

The Cluster System Engineer, together with the Cluster Product Owner and the Cluster Scrum Master, form the management circle of the cluster .

Together with the Team System Engineer Group, the system architect has the following tasks:

  • Creation and maintenance of the common Cluster System Engineer
  • Create the architecture roadmap
  • Analysis and estimation of systems, applications & features, especially those that are developed across teams
  • Creation of technical and architecture-relevant work packages from systems, applications & features
  • Interlinking with the refinements in the teams
  • With the teams within the cluster: coordination, definition and support for …
    • Design decisions
    • Test automation and test management
    • Versioning and release process
    • integration
    • Defect management
    • Security
    • common standards for engineering tools, data storage, documentation, common models, release notes)
  • Coordination of architectural changes by the teams
    • conflict management
    • Defense and “keeping clean” of the architecture
